This policy explains what information Longsky Studio's apps collect, why, and what you can do about it. Longsky Studio is a trade name of 101167022 Saskatchewan Ltd., Saskatchewan, Canada ("we", "us"). It covers PlayCall and this website. Calltide has its own policy at calltide.ca.
PlayCall
Licence activation
When you activate PlayCall, the app sends us:
- your licence key;
- a random identifier the app creates for your Mac (not your serial number or name); and
- the app version and macOS version.
We use this only to check that your licence is valid and to limit how many Macs it's active on. If you bought a licence from us directly, we also keep the email address you used to buy it so we can recover your key.
Crash reports
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in macOS settings, Apple may send us crash reports and basic diagnostics for PlayCall. These reports describe what went wrong in the app (for example, device model, macOS version and the code that crashed). They don't include your name or contact details. We use them only to find and fix bugs. You can turn this off at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
What stays on your Mac
Your projects, settings and display content stay on your Mac. We don't see them.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No selling or renting your information.
- No tracking you across other apps or websites.
- No collecting your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.
This website
This site doesn't use cookies or analytics. Our host (Netlify) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run the apps, such as our hosting provider for licence checks, and only for that purpose. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
Activation records are kept while your licence is active, plus up to 12 months after so we can help you reactivate. Crash reports are kept up to 12 months. Purchase records are kept as long as Canadian tax law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@longskystudio.com and we'll reply within 30 days. Deleting your activation record will deactivate your licence on that Mac.
We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you're not happy with how we handled a request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our apps aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll mention it in the app or by email.
